On Thursday, April 23rd, The Carbondale Public Library will host a special Know Your Rights Presentation, as part of National Crime Victims’ Right Week (NCVRW) in partnership with the City of Carbondale and the Survivor Empowerment Center.

A panelist of local professionals will educate community members about the general rights and resources available to all victims of crimes. This event will embrace the 2026 NCVRW theme, Listen. Act. Advocate. Protect Victims, Serve Communities. Attendees will receive a victims’ rights referral guide and NCVRW branded materials.

This event is free and open to the public. This presentation will take place on Thursday, April 23rd from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Carbondale Public Library located at 405 W. Main Street.
