Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement (SILIR) is hosting a presentation and tour of the SIU Fermentation Science Institute on Wednesday, November 15 at 10 a.m. Director Matt McCarroll and/or Office Administrator Susie Lighty will discuss the production and analysis of alcoholic beverages, fermented foods and cheese, and industrial fermentation. The SIU Fermentation Science Institute is located in the McLafferty Annex at 1728 University Press Drive (accessed from McLafferty Road) in Carbondale. After parking, enter the door on the north side and follow the signs.
