Y’all Rock Carbondale welcomes the Southern Illinois community to attend DIY Day, a free, all-ages event from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Eurma C. Hayes Center in Carbondale, IL.
The event is focused on DIY skill-building, community togetherness, and having fun! Community members of all ages can learn new skills, participate in collaborative art projects, enjoy free food, listen to live music, create cool things to take home, and more.
Join us at DIY Day on May 16 for:

Sewing workshops – 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Screen printing workshops – 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Small group instrument lessons for beginners:

1 p.m. – Keyboard

2 p.m. – Guitar

3 p.m. – Bass guitar

4 p.m. – Drums

Community art projects – all day!

Make your own buttons and bracelets – all day!

Free food, live music, and community togetherness – all day!

Rain or shine! Outdoor activities will be moved indoors in the case of inclement weather.
The Eurma Hayes Center is the home of Y’all Rock Carbondale’s yearly Rock Camp for youth—coming up July 20-25, 2026—and we are delighted to welcome the community to another fun, free event at this invaluable community center.
