Ill.-On Sunday, January 8th from 2-3pm, join Botanist, Chris Benda, as he
discusses his role in updating the Illinois Big Tree Registry in 2021/2022.
The Illinois Big Tree Registry is a statewide outreach program that seeks to discover, record,
recognize, and appreciate the largest individuals of our native tree species. Chris will show
photographs of some of the most impressive trees in the state.

Giant City State Park is administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The
mission of the IDNR is to manage, conserve and protect Illinois’ natural, recreational and cultural

generations.
