The Second Carbondale CommUNITY Dinner will be held on Saturday Oct 14th on Washington
Street. This will be a family style, farm to table dinner for 160 people- all completely free, first
come-first serve! There will be two seatings of 80 people- the first group to begin dining at 5:00
PM and the next at 6:30 PM. Washington street will be shut down for attendees to dine at large
shared community tables together. There will be a ribbon cutting to celebrate the shared kitchen
of “Leave it to Chef” presented by the Chamber of Commerce before the meal begins at 4:45
PM.
The theme of this seasons’ 3 course meal is Fall Harvest, with a delicious starter of field greens
with roasted beets, a main course of bison meatloaf and mushroom rice pilaf, and roasted
apples and pumpkin chunks with toasted pepitas to close with. This unique dining experience
will give people an opportunity to connect with a wide array of members from their community.
After enjoying this meal with old neighbors and new friends, continue celebrating the evening in
Carbondale by attending the last Off The Rails Concert of the season featuring The Natives and
Modern Day Saints!
