Carbondale, IL, November 1, 2022 – Rebound invites community members across the Southern Illinois region to its open house to meet staff, students and graduates and learn about our programming, learning opportunities and impact on students across the region.
“Rebound is an educational opportunity in the region that most don’t know about or are misinformed about. We want to help people of all ages in Southern Illinois get their education so they can be self-sustaining community members,” Sandy Snowden, Program Director at Rebound said.
Since 1970, Rebound has served the Southern Illinois regions’ students who choose to take a non-traditional path. Students work toward achieving their high school diploma or prepare to take the High School Equivalence (HSE) exam. Rebound serves about 300 students per year with nearly 100 students completing their secondary education.
“We no longer want to be one of the region’s best kept secrets,” said Snowden when asked why hosting the open house is so important to her.
The open house runs on Thursday, November 10 from 5-7 with light refreshments available. Rebound is located at 205 N. Oakland Ave. Carbondale Il. 62901
