Anna, IL — Food Works, in partnership with the Southern Illinois Farming Alliance
and the Illinois Grazing Lands Coalition, is proud to host a Pasture Walk at The
Flock Farm in Anna, Illinois on Wednesday, June 11, from 4 to 6 PM.
This free event invites community members, farmers, and food lovers alike to step onto
the land and into the lives of a local farm family working to steward their animals and
pastures with care. Guests will tour The Flock Farm and learn how Improved Grazing
Management supports healthy soil, strong livestock, and sustainable food systems here
in Southern Illinois. It’s a chance to experience firsthand the practices that nourish both
land and community at a local level.
After the walk, guests will enjoy a free, locally sourced meal prepared by Cold Blooded
Smokehouse & Catering, featuring regional flavors and seasonal ingredients from right
here at home.
Food Works supports a resilient regional food economy in Southern Illinois by
connecting farmers, families, and communities through education, resources, and
shared values.
