As Southern Illinois University Carbondale prepares to start the spring 2023 semester on Tuesday (Jan. 17), new students will move in to the residence halls between 9 a.m. and noon Friday. Returning students will move in over the weekend, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.
New students will have an afternoon of orientation that day and enjoy campus and classroom tours 9-11 a.m. Saturday. Over the next three weeks in January, Salukis in Unity will have events and activities to promote respect and diversity, raise awareness of opportunities and acquaint new students with the university.
