Chancellor Austin Lane will discuss plans for SIU Carbondale’s future at the Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement (SILIR) Zoom meeting. Dr. Lane became Chancellor of SIUC in July of 2020 after having served as president of Texas Southern University. In his 25-years as a higher education administrator and faculty member, he held high ranking administrative positions at several Texas colleges and universities.
