Thomas Imboden will discuss hacking at the Zoom-delivered Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement (SILIR) meeting. In addition to identifying common themes in recent sophisticated cyber attacks on major companies, he will provide common sense and easy to follow recommendations for individuals to keep hackers and cyber criminals at bay.
Imboden is an Associate Professor in the Information Technology (ITEC) program at SIU. He has been teaching information technology with a focus on cyber security for more than ten years, and he holds a variety of security specific industry certifications.
