Dr. Philip Anton will discuss the Strong Survivors Exercise and Nutrition Program for Cancer Survivors and Caregivers at the Zoom-delivered Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement (SILIR) meeting. The Strong Survivors Program provides free individualized exercise programs based on medical and fitness histories, initial fitness assessment results, and quality of life goals. The Program is co-sponsored by the SIUC School of Human Sciences, the SIH Cancer Institute, and John A. Logan College.
Dr. Anton, the Strong Survivors Program creator, directs SIUC’s Exercise Science Program in the School of Human Sciences. He also directs he University’s Julie A. Honerkamp Strong Survivors Cancer Rehabilitation Laboratory.
