Dr. Justin Schoof will be the presenter at the August 19 meeting of Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement. His topic is ‘Climate Change – The Role of Humans’.
Dr. Justin Schoof earned his PhD from Indiana University in 2004 and joined the faculty at SIU in 2006. He teaches courses in Physical Climatology and Applied Statistics and conducts research on climate variability and change. He is especially interested in regional climate extremes and their interactions with processes at larger scales.
This presentation, free and open to the public, will begin at 10:30 am at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 1501 W. Chautauqua, Carbondale. A coffee and social hour begins at 9:30 am.
