Gary Williams, Carbondale’s City Manager, will be the featured speaker at the Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement (SILIR) meeting on Wednesday, March 20, at 10:30 a.m. He will include updates on the transportation center being built and on solar projects.
Gary Williams holds the Master’s degree in Public Administration from SIU. He has been with the city since 2011 and has been City Manager since 2015. He serves on several statewide committees, including in the Illinois City Managers Association and the Illinois Municipal League.
The presentation, free and open to the public, will be at Epiphany Lutheran Church at 1501 W. Chautauqua St. in Carbondale. Note: the meeting location has changed. It will no longer be at Grace United Methodist Church. A coffee and social hour begins at 9:30.
