Teaser Trailer: A short, professionally edited video that captures the essence of the show.
Ladies Ring Shout serves as a sounding ground and witness space, addressing the challenges and
pressures faced by women of color. By exploring gender representation, trauma, nurturing, work-life
balance, and spirituality, the performance invites women to transform and heal their perceptions of
personal power through creativity. The performance aims to broaden representational possibilities for
women of color and envisions feminist-focused social justice through artistic expression.
In addition to the performance, Ladies Ring Shout offers a workshop curriculum that encourages
women to employ wellness strategies of deep reflection, play, and experimentation. Utilizing
everyday tools such as words, laughter, secrets, images, rhythm, and movement, the project fosters
coping, healing, and thriving within female support networks.
