Do you like to hike but do not speak Spanish? This hike is also for you! Join the park Naturalist
and Lisa Thomas, Park volunteer, as we take a casual hike along the moderate 1 mile Giant City
Nature Trail. We will highlight a little of the flora, fauna, geology and history of Giant City State
Park. Please call 618-457-4836 to register.

Giant City State Park is administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The
mission of the IDNR is to manage, conserve and protect Illinois’ natural, recreational and cultural
resources, further the public’s understanding and appreciation of those resources, and promote
the education, science and public safety of Illinois’ natural resources for present and future
generations.
