-Using Native Plant Dyes
Come gather around as we dip and dye with nature. We will talk about several plants that can be used to make
dyes with and, experiment with a few different dyes and styles. This will be a hands-on experience. This
program will take place at Giant City State Park on Saturday, September 20th from 1-3pm. Space is limited,
and registration is required. Please call 618-457-4836 to register.
-Take a Plant Walk with Harriet Tubman
On Saturday, September 27th from 1-2pm, Marlene Rivero will bring Harriet Tubman to life as she takes a
leisurely walk through the woods and discusses wild edible and medicinal plants that Harriet may have used
during her time in the Underground Railroad.
This will be a free outdoor presentation, but space is limited and registration is required.
