Friends of the Shawnee to host Winter Warm-Up

Alto Pass, Ill. – The Friends of the Shawnee National Forest will host a “Winter Warm-
Up” from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, February 28 th at the Haversham House in Alto Pass, Ill.
The event will feature live music from pianist Stick Gilbert, free hors d’oeuvres and a
signature cocktail drink, the “Camel Rocktail,” created especially for the event by Haversham
House.
In addition, the Equality Fire Department’s new “Rope Rescue” truck will be on display.
Advance tickets are $50 each, or two for $80. Pre-registration is available at
shawneefriends.org. Click on “Store.” Tickets at the door are $60 each or two for $90. All
tickets include one free drink coupon.
