Free Post-Pandemic Health Screenings Coming to Southern Illinois

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois – Public health organizers, including Community Health Workers with Illinois’
Pandemic Health Navigator Program, announced today free health screenings in regions hit hard by the
COVID-19 pandemic.
Less than a year after hospitals in Illinois’ southernmost counties were challenged by COVID-19 case
surges, increased complications from chronic disease and kidney disease have been seen. In response,
Community Health Workers are offering free health screenings in five southern Illinois communities
through the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois’ KidneyMobile®. Participants are encouraged to
schedule their visit at https://www.nkfi.org/get-screened for any of the following KidneyMobile® stops:
