The City of Carbondale and the Carbondale Park District are working together to complete a master plan for
Carbondale’s public parks and green spaces. We are enthusiastic about this joint process to improve our
recreational and natural areas.
The master plan will include several opportunities for feedback from the community including a resident survey.
Please follow the link here ( https://carbondaleparks.com/) to complete the survey, which will be open for three
weeks, beginning today, Wednesday, February 14, 2024 and closing on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Yard signs
have also been distributed around town with a QR code that directs you to the survey. Once surveys are
completed, a series of focus groups will be held to further discuss ideas and plans.
We are excited to embark on this collaborative process to affect positive changes in Carbondale!
