It’s Blanche DuBois’ birthday, and you can’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the birthday and career of Southern Illinois’ Godmother of Drag.
Blanche’s Burlesque Birthday Bash takes place on Friday, Aug. 25, so mark your calendars now.
As always, the show will be emceed by Ms. DuBois, who will also perform along with regulars Jodie Santana, Leiyana Santana, Holly Haliwell and Lumber Jill. Special guest Sierra S D’Leight is in town and will grace the stage, as will two newcomers: Korra DeVil and Twinkalicious. Christina Garnette will be the evening’s hostess.
This is an adult show, and no one under the age of 18 will be admitted.
Performances begin at 8:30 on Friday, Aug. 25. The Varsity Bar will open at 7, so come early and enjoy specially created cocktails in the company of Christina and the Varsity staff.
Tickets are $10 for adults or $8 for students with ID. They are available in advance at Eventbrite (bit.ly/3VH7E2T). Tickets are not available in advance at the venue but will be available on the night of the show when doors open at 7. Be sure to get tickets early; these shows almost always sell out.
