Artspace 304 Announces Innovative Southern Illinois Arts Pollinator Project

Carbondale, IL – Artspace 304 is pleased to announce a new grant for craft artisans, designed to
help strengthen the path from an artists creative output to the consumer market. The SI
Pollinator Arts Project grants are targeted to meet the needs of budding artists by:
● Providing each recipient with $5,000 to make equipment or material purchases
needed in the production of mass saleable artwork
● Giving them ready access to sales through retail outlets, including Artspace 304
● Pairing artists with mentors who can assist in the marketing of their work
The pandemic wreaked havoc on supply chains and pipelines everywhere. Southern Illinois
artists especially felt the pain. Increasing the potential for artists to earn a livelihood will help
restore the spirit and economy of our communities.
The Southern Illinois Arts Pollinator Project grant is made possible by funding from Builders
Vision, Illinois Arts Council Agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
To be eligible, the artist must be 18 years or older, not enrolled as a full-time student, and a
resident of southern Illinois. Those interested may learn more on the Artspace 304 website
