–Art in the Park Watercolor for Beginners Program at Giant
City State Park on Saturday, August 20th from 1-3 pm.  What better setting than outdoors at Giant City State Park to get
creative and learn how to Plein Air (outdoor) paint with Watercolors? Join local artist,
Ms. Katy, for a leisurely afternoon of creating art inspired by nature in late summer. This
is a free program geared towards adults and teens. All supplies will be provided.
This is a weather dependent Plein Air painting program with limited seating. Please call
the Giant City Visitor Center at 618-457-4836 to register.
Giant City State Park is administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
The mission of the IDNR is to manage, conserve and protect Illinois’ natural,
recreational and cultural resources, further the public’s understanding and appreciation
of those resources, and promote the education, science and public safety of Illinois’
natural resources for present and future generations.
