Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois Hosting a Variety of Day and Resident Camps
Glen Carbon, Illinois – Soaking up the sunbeams or letting her light shine – Girl Scout Camp is where she wants to be!
This summer, all trails lead to camp! Never been a Girl Scout? No problem! Girls can join Girl Scouts now through an
extended membership so they can enjoy camping this summer and transition right into the troop experience in the fall. It’s
the perfect time to join!
“We’re especially excited for camp this summer,” said Mary Buchanan, Senior Director of Program Engagement. “Not only
do we have a lot of day and resident camps that girls have come to know and love, but we’ve also added several resident
camp sessions at our very own Camp Torqua. With the options of going to resident camp for a couple days or a full week,
or attending one of our awesome day camps, there’s something for everyone,” Buchanan added.
