Church Women United announces the 48th annual Sale to Fight World Hunger, a giant yard sale to be held on Friday August 18, 9am to 4pm, and Saturday August 19, 9am to 1pm, at the University Mall, across from Footlocker and American Eagle.
All proceeds from the sale will go to agencies that feed hungry people.
Donations of usable items of all sorts are needed – household items, electronics, furniture, books, toys, jewelry, and clothing. No major appliances, please. All donations will be accepted, at the University Mall on Tuesday August 15, 10-3; Wednesday August 16, 9-5:30 and Thursday August 17, 9-1. Clothing only accepted on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Over 200 volunteers are needed August 15-19 to help with a great variety of tasks. Call Martha Ellert at 618-521-0613 to volunteer or for more information.
