Murphysboro, Ill., July 17, 2026 — Molina Healthcare of Illinois (“Molina”) is partnering with Jackson County Health Department to host a Back-to-School Bash in Murphysboro, aimed at supporting local families as they prepare for the new school year. The event will offer back-to-school vaccines, fluoride treatments, car seat checks, as well as backpacks and school supplies for those in attendance. Local agencies will also be on-site to share information about available community resources. Attendees are encouraged to register for a vaccine appointment or car seat check on the Jackson County Health Department’s website.
For many parents and guardians, the back-to-school season can be overwhelming. In Illinois, parents spend an average of $750 per child on school supplies. By offering free services and supplies in one place, the Back-to-School Bash helps alleviate the burden while helping students start the year ready to learn and succeed in the classroom. This event is part of Molina’s broader back-to-school initiative in Illinois, delivered in partnership with local schools, clinics and community organizations to provide free essential health services and school supplies to families across the state.
