Carbondale, IL: Bruce DeRuntz has met some interesting people in his time, including students who have gone on to become outstanding leaders in their fields. DeRuntz is an SIU Engineering Professor and has directed the Leadership Development Program since 2006. His book “Work Ready” combines findings from his research on technical leadership development with principles from U S Navy Seal William Bushelle, an SIU grad who worked for the co-author of the book, Shannon Barrett.
DeRuntz will have a public reading and book signing on Sunday, May 24, at 2 pm, to read some excerpts and respond to questions and comments. The public is invited to sit in at Confluence Books, 705 West Main Street in Carbondale. Parking is available off of Forest Street.
Copies of Work Ready will be available at the bookstore. Confluence Books hosts local authors so that community members can learn about new books and get to know our authors.
