First Judicial Circuit Chief Judge William J. Thurston, Saline County Presiding Resident Circuit Judge Jayson M. Clark
and Eldorado Memorial Library Director Keith Robinson are pleased to announce the expansion of the Lawyer in the Library program to the Eldorado Memorial Library, 1001 Grant Street, Eldorado, IL.
Attorney Julian Valdes looks forward to volunteering his time to this valuable community resource.
The Lawyer in the Library program provides patrons needing help with a legal issue the
opportunity for a private, one-on-one session with an attorney for up to 20-minutes to receive advice or
help with legal documents. There is no fee and pre-registration with the library is required. On the date of your session, check in at the library registration desk and bring any paperwork pertaining to your legal question or situation.
This program may be limited to one visit per patron.
Upcoming dates for the Lawyer in the Library at the Eldorado Memorial Library are:
August 20, September 3, and September 17, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm each day. Additional dates will be
added.
Each Lawyer in the Library program is initially launched with Access to Justice Improvement
Grant (ATJ Grant) funding through the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice, the
Access to Justice Division, Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. The program continues with the
volunteer attorney coordinating with the library and Brenda Sprague, Executive Assistant to the Chief
Circuit Judge/ATJ Improvement Grant Coordinator.
