You know you need a break from all the pre-Christmas stress and rush, so sit back and let Southern Illinois’ best drag performers give you that gift!
The Varsity’s All-Ages Ho Ho Ho Christmas Variety Drag Show will take the stage on Friday, Dec. 16 at the downtown venue. Join us for lip-sync performances, live singing, trivia and interactive contest and prizes and comedy.
Join emcee and performer Blanche DuBois, the Godmother of drag in Southern Illinois. Regular performers are Jodie Santana, Faim Lee Jewls, Leiyana Santana, Kailey Santana, Idina Rimes and Christina Garnette, who will also be the evening’s hostess.
The show starts at 7 p.m. Dec. 16. Doors and the Varsity Bar open at 6.
This is an all-ages show, and the venue welcomes young people; however, the show can be on the risqué side, and those 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Tickets are $10 for adults or $5 for students with ID. They are available in advance at www.thevarsitycenter.org. Tickets are not available in advance at the venue but will be available on the night of the show.
